So what is your favourite Naked Gun film? Some may say the first is always the best but, like Empire Strikes Back and Godfather 2, sometimes the sequels are better.

Just sat through Naked Gun Trilogy all in one sitting..on video I hasten to add. Will definitely be purchasing the DVD Trilogy box set. Once Ive bought a DVD player that is.

The first one's a classic and superb, no doubt.
The second one has the whole Frank & Jane & Quentin sub-plot through it which makes for loads of extra laffs that Police Squad! didn't cover - plus when Frank says in reply to Quentin's "Drebin! I didn't see your name on the guest list!" , "Sometimes I go by my maiden name" - that is worth watching it for alone........plus the whole Barbara Bush thing. And the third one - how can you not love a movie with Frank starting a distraction / riot in prison with lines like "And this Chateau Marmont* is being served at room temperature when it's supposed to be chilled! Are we men or are we animals?!" *not sure if that was the wine's name - but hardly the point. |

I think I laughed more at "2 1/2" more than the others, the opening scene alone was superb, but they are all comedy classics.
